Veterinary training in Mexico
Education and donations
Students at the National Autonomous University of Mexico are no longer learning solely from their professors, but also from Bayer experts. Dedicated employees from the Animal Health Business Group are serving as assistant professors at the Mexico City university and informing the prospective veterinarians about the company's biological safety programs.
In addition to the lectures and up-to-date scientific materials the company provides free-of-charge to the students, Bayer has also concluded a special agreement with the university. According to the terms of this collaboration, the company matches the volume of products ordered by the Department of Veterinary Medicine with free donations. Bayer supports animal farmers in the same way: whenever they take advantage of the department's services for their animals, half of the required medicines are provided free of charge.
This is an agreement with dual benefits. Firstly, the animals receive the best possible treatment. Secondly, the veterinary students are able to learn modern treatment methods that they can later employ in their own practices.
