A very special ride with Bayer

Christmas 2001 will remain a special memory for 170 physically or mentally disabled children from Croatia: together with their care-givers, the children took a trip on the "Tin Express" — a unique train organized for children by Croatian Railways. The main sponsor of the ride from Zagreb to Savski Marof was the Zagreb representation of Bayer AG. Santa Claus was on hand in the musical train adorned with Christmas decorations to distribute presents from the sponsors to the children. The festivities even included a clown who entertained the children, many of whom had never ridden on a train before. With its support Bayer continued a long tradition of sponsorship and help for the disabled. In Germany e.g. this support is manifested in a foundation established by the company.
