Culture and sports

Bayer lives up to its corporate social responsibility in France through numerous partnerships in the areas of sports and cultural activities.

Bayer France is active on the cultural scene. For example, the company's Cultural Affairs Department cooperated in 2003 with the "Festival Berlioz" and the Champs Elysées Theater to put on the Mozart opera "The Abduction from the Seraglio". Bayer France also supports the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, an international chamber music competition in Lyon and several art exhibitions in Paris and Lyon. Additionally, Bayer France sponsored the publication in 2005 of a book on the history of the very famous Théâtre National Populaire de Villeurbanne near Lyon.

Bayer's commitment to sports is highlighted by a partnership with the Toulouse rugby team (Stade Toulousain) that it first entered into in 2004. Bayer France also helps two sport organizations dedicated to disabled people (Handicap International and Special Olympics).
