Help for those who need it most
The Corporate Social Responsibility activities of Bayer in India have a clear focus: help for those who need it most. That's why Bayer supported projects on the Indian subcontinent that benefit children in particular.
"Voice" helps to educate street children. "Anand Ashram" provides orphans and abandoned children with the basic necessities. "Mobile Crèches" runs daycare centers for the children of working mothers from the slums. Bayer also provided vigorous support for the "Pulse Polio" program to fight polio.
Bayer also joined with several schools in the community around its Thane production facility in initiating a science-promotion program. In the Andhra Pradesh region, the Learning For Life project enables children to enroll in schools.
