Support for diverse population groups
Bayer aims to improve living conditions for people in Indonesia with a wide range of programs. For example, the company has enabled urgently needed eye operations for diabetes patients by donating the required blood-sugar-lowering medicines to diabetics before surgery. Another project supported by Bayer is the fight against a persistent locust infestation. The success of this program has secured the livelihood of countless farmers — and thus also helped to safeguard food supplies for Indonesia's population. And finally, following a flood disaster in the capital city Jakarta, Bayer's donation of medicines and clothing helped ease the suffering of many victims.
