Bayer RSS-Feed

Bayer now makes its corporate news available as a practical RSS feed. By subscribing to our RSS feed, you can quickly and easily receive the latest news from Bayer AG. Below you will find information on RSS and on what programs and/or setups are needed to use the feed.

What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (or for Rich Site Summary or RDF Site Summary). Originally developed for the transmission and exchange of messages, it is increasingly being used by private parties to receive specific information about selected themes.
In technical terms, RSS is an XML-based format that allow content to be read irrespective of the platform used.

What advantages does RSS offer?
Users of our RSS feed are kept constantly up to date about Bayer issues in which they have an interest. They do not have to select information from a flood of newsletters, but rather can quickly and effectively keep abreast of changes and current contents. Other advantages, in addition to the targeted selection of information, are regular delivery and a reduction in download times and traffic.

What do I need in order to use an RSS feed?
To use an RSS feed, a reader program - usually an RSS reader, or "newsreader" - is required. After you specify the frequency of updates (for example once daily), this program continuously provides you with current news items in the form of headlines and brief texts. If a certain article interests you, simply click on it and it will open in your browser. The RSS version 0.91 used by Bayer is supported by nearly all readers. In addition, browsers such as Firefox now support RSS as well. Click here for further information on Firefox and RSS.

Where do I find an RSS reader and how do I install the Bayer RSS feed?
Many RSS readers are freeware. A selection of available readers can be found at this address. To install the reader, follow the respective program instructions. After installing the RSS reader on your computer, copy the following link and enter it:
