Personalized medicine against cancer

Health is a molecular thing: individual codes inside our body’s cells are increasingly helping doctors to precisely analyze patients. Personalized medicine makes use of knowledge about the microcosm inside us: genome-based studies and biomarkers are expanding the range of diagnostic tools available to doctors, enabling them to give cancer patients the most targeted treatment possible. Fruitless attempts at treatment and unpleasant side effects could be further limited in the future as a result.
