Romania

Street children and education

By supporting the "Children in Need" Foundation in 2000, Bayer displayed its social commitment where help is most needed. This Italian aid organization cares for HIV-positive street children and orphans in Romania. In addition, Bayer promotes understanding between nations through its support of a European Union exchange program: 12 schoolchildren from the eastern European country last year took part in a training internship at Bayer's Uerdingen site.
