Assistance for children and students
Bayer demonstrates its social commitment in Thailand at the country's schools, universities and marketplaces. Here special emphasis is placed on preventive health care and projects in the Southeast Asian country's universities. The company launched an education initiative in several schools to combat dengue fever.
As part of the "Young Environmental Envoys" program, ten students from Thailand were invited by Bayer to gain insight into the company's environmental protection activities at its sites in Germany. A series of lectures held by Bayer on the subject of the Eco-Check met with a big response at universities in Thailand.
A project started by Bayer Thai to mark the 40th anniversary of its founding was also a great success. The campaign against rat infestation in the capital city's marketplaces will now be expanded to the rest of the country.
