150 years of Bayer – 150 role models: To mark the company's anniversary in 2013, the Bayer Cares Foundation launched a volunteering program special for 150 current and retired employees who are involved as volunteers in projects that improve living conditions in the communities around the Bayer sites across the globe. A jury appointed by the Bayer Cares Foundation selected the best volunteering projects from among 660 applications from 62 countries. The employees included in the foundation's corporate volunteering program come from 51 different countries and will receive funding totaling more than EUR 600,000.
