There are a total of 23 Bayer sports clubs, 18 clubs and ensembles and 17 special interest clubs located around the company's Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld-Uerdingen and Wuppertal-Elberfeld production sites. These clubs have a total membership of about 45,000 and offer a wide range of sports activities at recreational, club and championship levels, for disabled people and elite levels.
The biggest club to be sponsored by the company is the TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen with about 10,000 members. The sports clubs traditionally have close links with the company and express this by incorporating the Bayer name and the Bayer cross in their club emblem and wearing it on the club's strip.
The artistic activities of Bayer employees are wide and varied, ranging from instrumental music, choral music and drama to photography. There are a total of 18 clubs and ensembles at sites in Leverkusen, Dormagen, Krefeld-Uerdingen and Wuppertal, some of which have been in existence for over 100 years
Horticulture, beekeeping or stamp collecting - these are just a few of the interests covered by the clubs supported by Bayer enabling its employees to enjoy their leisure time with meaningful and wide-ranging pursuits. Over the years more than 17 special interest clubs have been founded at Leverkusen, Dormagen, Wuppertal and Krefeld-Uerdingen sites which are closely linked to the company. They express this not least by incorporating the company name and the Bayer Cross in their emblems.
