Bayer is supporting a new four-part series from Scientific American’s Science Quickly podcast on science, trust, and misinformation.

According to a Harris Poll study commissioned by Bayer, 80% of Americans say social media contributes to misleading or false health and science information – and 1 in 5 young adults don't trust doctors or scientists. The podcast series meets that moment head-on and features candid conversations with researchers and science communicators. Episode 1 is now available.

Episode 1: Dr. Noc on Scrolling, Skepticism, and Trust

Immunologist and science communicator Morgan McSweeney—known online as Dr. Noc—joins host Megan Hall to explore why health misinformation spreads and how experts can make complex research clear, practical, and trustworthy.

In this episode:
•    Testing ideas: Why credible scientific claims must withstand rigorous review.
•    Beyond “trust the science”: Why transparency matters, especially as evidence evolves.
•    Clear communication: How experts can explain what is known, how they know it, and what they are still learning.

Watch or listen: Start Episode 1 on Scientific American or find it on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

New episodes will be released every two weeks through World Science Day in November.

The podcast series is part of Bayer’s national Science Delivers campaign to champion evidence-based science, counter misinformation, and show how innovation improves lives—from healthcare and nutrition to agriculture.
