Bayer Vietnam Supports the Vietnam Young Physicians' Association in Community Healthcare Efforts

• Bayer Vietnam has sponsored 500,000 boxes of multivitamin supplements in effervescent tablet form for the humanitarian medical examination and consultation activities carried out by the Vietnam Young Physicians' Association in 49 provinces and cities nationwide.
• This is part of Bayer's Patient Support Programme, which has provided nearly 2 million boxes of multivitamin supplements free of charge to vulnerable groups in Vietnam. The supplements are distributed through hospitals and partner organisations conducting medical screenings and treatment.

Yen Bai, 22 March 2024 - Bayer Vietnam has sponsored 500,000 boxes of multivitamin supplements in effervescent tablet form to support the humanitarian medical services of the Vietnam Young Physicians' Association (VYPA). These effervescent multivitamin tablets, which support daily energy release and help reduce tiredness and fatigue, will reach people in need across 49 provinces, with a focus on those facing financial hardship or limited access to healthcare in remote areas.

The handover ceremony coincided with the Vietnam Young Physicians' Association launching the "Free Medical Examination Campaign and Technology Transfer to Hospitals in Ethnic Minority Areas" programme in Cam An Commune, Yen Binh District, Yen Bai Province. The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Health, Yen Bai Province, and a team of volunteer doctors. Nearly 1,000 local residents received free health screenings, consultations, and necessary medicines during this event.

This initiative with VYPA is an important part of Bayer's broader Patient Support Program, implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health and under the guidance of the Department of Medical Services Administration. Through this program, the company has provided nearly 2 million boxes of multivitamin supplements free of charge to vulnerable groups in Vietnam. These products are distributed through partner organisations that conduct medical screening and treatment. Distribution began in December 2023, and to date more than 1,700 boxes have been supplied to healthcare centres across 12 provinces.

The program aims to make high-quality nutrition more accessible to underserved communities nationwide and ensure that those most in need can access vital supplements for their health and well-being, advancing equitable healthcare for all Vietnamese citizens.
