Baylab – Discovering science, inspiring curiosity, shaping the future

Baylab is Bayer’s international initiative to inspire young people to discover science, technology and innovation. At Bayer sites around the world, children and teenagers can experience the natural sciences first-hand in a professional, real-life laboratory setting.

Through age-appropriate, interactive and hands-on workshops, they explore how exciting research can be and how science connects to everyday life, society, health, nutrition and sustainable agriculture.

From primary school children to teenagers exploring future career paths, participants carry out their own experiments, ask questions, develop ideas and gain a practical understanding of scientific methods. Topics range from biology, chemistry and biotechnology to agriculture, plant science, DNA analysis and microscopy, as well as robotics, coding and modern research.

At the same time, the Baylabs provide insights into a wide range of STEM careers and show how science can help address global challenges.

Through the Baylabs, Bayer seeks to inspire the next generation of researchers, inventors and innovators, nurture scientific curiosity, encourage talent and empower young people to play an active role in shaping the future.
