About Bayer in Thailand

Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. was established in 1962. All major businesses of Bayer are represented in Thailand under its divisions of Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science.

Pharmaceuticals Division focuses on prescription drugs for the therapeutic areas of cardiology, oncology, gynecology, hematology and ophthalmology. It also provides products in radiology areas.

Consumer Health Division is a market leader for non-prescription medicines and other self-care products.

Crop Science Division offers products in the area of seeds, crop protection and non-agricultural pest control.

Bayer Thai has 5 locations in Thailand, headquarter in Bangkok. The company also has a research center in Suphanburi for Agri-Solution Research Center. Bayer Thai has four high-quality seed production and research sites to provide agricultural solutions for domestic and export markets. These include production site in Phitsanulok for corn seeds for animals under the Dekalb brand, while the Khon Kaen and Sakon Nakorn locations focus on agricultural vegetable seeds including tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds under Seminis and DeRuiter brands. There is also a Chiang Rai research center for vegetable seeds.

1999	First Bayer Polycarbonate production-Line 1 starts at the site in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate
2002	Polycarbonate production-Line 2, Compounding Production-Line 1 and Bisphenol A Production start
	Aventis is integrated into Bayer Thai's CropScience business
	Environmental Science products are produced at Bangpoo site
2005	Roche's OTC business is integrated into Bayer HealthCare under worldwide acquisition
	Polycarbonate’s production capacity is expanded to 200,000 Mt/year
2007	Schering (Bangkok) is integrated into Bayer Thai and set up Bayer Schering Pharma business, and renamed “Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals”
	Polycarbonate Film Plant starts production at Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate
	BaySystems ASEAN, an integrated polyurethane systems house, starts the operation in Bangpoo Industrial Estate
2008	Rice Development Center is inaugurated in Suphan Buri
2009	Polycarbonate Film Plant-Line 2 begins operations
