Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Bayer
Around the world, we are working to foster inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.

The Health Equity Collaboratory Series was born out of Bayer’s commitment to improve lives in the communities in which we and our customers live and work. In the first installment, Advancing Heart Health in the Community, we offer a closer look at barriers to cardiovascular health from the perspectives of those directly and disproportionately affected—the African American community. For more installments, including the second session Advancing Access to Nutritious Foods, follow us on LinkedIn.

In coordination with BayAfro, Bayer’s resource group for employees of Black/African descent, we are proud to support the CDC Foundation’s “Live to the Beat” campaign as a co-sponsor. "Live to the Beat" aims to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease among Black adults ages 35–54 with a focus on moving more, eating better, quitting smoking, and addressing key risk factors like hypertension, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar.

To support the health of underserved communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bayer Fund –the philanthropic arm of Bayer –has donated one million products, including over-the-counter medications and multivitamins. We are delivering these products directly to people who can’t easily access them by way of partnerships with Direct Relief and Feeding America.

As part of our ongoing partnership with Direct Relief, we are funding the Community Health Awards, an initiative to provide awards to programs that break down barriers to reproductive health services in underserved communities. This work increases family planning education, patient outreach, and other services.

In 2021, Bayer US Patient Assistance Foundation provided over $356 million worth of free pharmaceutical products/therapies to almost 11,400 uninsured or underinsured patients in the U.S.
