The Penreach Baylab focuses on: assisting teachers to improve teaching methods in Physical Science, Natural Sciences and Mathematics; closing the knowledge gap between primary education and secondary education; improving learners’ study methods and techniques of exam writing; helping teachers to do practical experiments with their learners and promoting Science.

Bayer Supports SANParks initiative in Fight against Rhino Poaching

Kruger Dogs

Bayer South Africa is proud to be associated with the South African National Parks (SANParks) Anti Rhino Poaching Unit as well as the Table Mountain National Parks (TMNP) Dog Unit by keeping the working dogs and their handlers in good health. Through this partnership, Bayer sponsors the dogs in both Units by treating them for internal and external parasite infestations with products such as the Seresto Collar, as well as covering the costs of their yearly vaccines. Handlers are also taken care of with the provision of Bayer’s insect repellent for clothing in the form of Bayticol Aerosol, vitamin and mineral supplements like Berocca and Cal-C-Vita, as well as Life Nets and insecticide treated bed nets for mosquito repellency in the Kruger National Park. Since this project began, we have had great success in keeping the working dogs, used in the on-the-ground anti-poaching operations, in good health. In fact, SANParks has experienced a dramatic drop in the incidence of tick borne diseases in the dogs based in the Kruger National Park since Bayer’s involvement.
