Innovation for a More Prosperous Pakistan

Through our Crop Science division, we advance agriculture the Bayer way—by producing more and restoring nature as we do it. We call this regenerative agriculture. We are also at the forefront of introducing innovation for farmers to enable them to produce greater yields and more effectively counter the effects of climate change—including drought and shifting seasonal weather patterns—as well as the impacts of pests and disease. We do this by working to introduce innovative seed solutions in Pakistan, alongside providing farmers with existing high-yielding hybrid seed varieties, effective crop protection products, and cutting-edge digital solutions.  

Smallholder farmer focus

Smallholder farmers are the backbone of Pakistan’s agriculture industry. We engage with approximately 2 million smallholder farmers annually, partnering with them to provide solutions, deliver agronomic knowledge and share best practices which help them maximize their yields and achieve greater productivity. In this way, we play an important role in ensuring food security for a growing population, and contributing to the economy while promoting sustainable practices. 

Seeds & Traits

Great harvests are enabled by high quality seeds. We offer farmers across Pakistan seed varieties that combine the best genetics and most advanced traits to help improve lives through better harvests. 

Crop protection

Weeds, diseases, and pests are a major ongoing threat to crop health and yields. Effective crop protection is essential to manage these threats. Through our crop protection portfolio we offer an extensive range of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and seed treatments to help farmers protect their crops for a healthy harvest with maximum yields—all while reducing environmental impact and promoting healthy soil and biodiversity.
