Bayer and the Government of Rwanda sign strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen access to pharmaceuticals

May 14, 2026, in Kigali, following the Rwanda Global Gateway Investment Roadshow, Bayer signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Government of Rwanda, witnessed by the EU Delegation. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to improving public health outcomes by advancing the availability, accessibility, and affordability of pharmaceuticals in Rwanda, with the potential to support wider regional supply in SubSaharan Africa.

Bayer and the Government of Rwanda have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Kigali, witnessed by the European Union Delegation to Rwanda. The collaboration aims to facilitate access to highly relevant products from Bayer’s pharmaceutical portfolio to support national public health priorities. The agreement may also serve as a platform to supply additional SubSaharan African countries in the future, in line with Bayer’s mission of Health for All.
