New President of Bayer in Poland

Warsaw, September 2, 2025 – Simon J. Britsch has been appointed to the position of President of Bayer Poland in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer for the East Europe region. His international experience and deep understanding of Bayer’s business make him well-positioned to support the company’s continued growth and transformation in East Europe.

 

With a 25-year tenure at Bayer, Simon brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His journey with the company began in 2000 as a trainee in Germany, where he demonstrated his potential. In 2009, he was appointed CFO for Bayer Vietnam, based in Ho Chi Minh City, and three years later, he took on managerial responsibilities within the commercial area of the Healthcare division in Beijing, China. After seven impactful years in Asia, Simon returned to Germany in 2016 to take on strategic leadership roles, including the establishment of Bayer’s global Enterprise Risk Management function.
In 2021, he embarked on another international assignment in Mumbai, where he served as the CFO for the South Asia region, overseeing financial operations including Bayer’s publicly listed entity in India. 
Since July 2025, Simon is based in Poland where he is responsible for shaping Bayer’s financial direction across East Europe from the company’s Warsaw office.

Simon holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Essen and a Master of Business Administration from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid. He has further developed his leadership capabilities through executive management programs at Harvard Business School, where he is recognized as an alumnus.
