Al Driver
Head of Canada Crop Science
Al Driver serves as a member of the North America Commercial Operations Leadership Team as the Canada Country Division Head (CDH) within the Crop Science division of Bayer.
He leads a +500-employee organization and led the Canadian acquisition and integration of the Monsanto business into the current Bayer organization.
Al began his career with Bayer and its predecessor companies 30 years ago as a sales representative and has held leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development. Prior to his appointment as CDH, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development in Canada. Throughout all of his roles at Bayer, Al’s focus on innovation has helped launch game-changing products and technologies that have helped shape Canadian agriculture.
Al has a bachelor's degree in Crop Science from the University of Guelph, a professional agrologist designation from the Alberta Institute of Agrologists. He serves as Chair on the Board of Directors for CropLife Canada.
Al and his wife Brenda reside in Calgary and have three grown children. They enjoy skiing often during the winter at Lake Louise and frequent British Columbia's Shuswap Lake throughout the summer months.
