Nothing is more critical to the future of farming than the next generation.
Bayer is passionate about supporting the students of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow by helping give them the resources, experience, and education they need. And we’re proud to work with time-honored agriculture organizations who align with that mission.
That’s why Bayer has long supported 4-H, the largest youth development organization in the country, as it empowers and educates the next generation of leaders from rural, suburban and urban communities. Through Science Matters, Bayer and the National 4-H Council deliver a multi-faceted program, reaching more than 250,000 youth annually, focused on scientific exploration and hands-on experiences to help understand Agriscience and agriculture with real world applications.
Bayer, along with its philanthropic arm Bayer Fund also have deep partnership roots with the FFA, supporting the legacy ag organization in a number of ways since 1954. Major components of that longstanding partnership include Bayer Fund’s Grow Ag Leaders scholarship program, as well as Bayer’s annual participation in the FFA National Convention and a wide variety of career development events.
These three initiatives alone drive hundreds of engagements and opportunities for students to learn more about ag careers, receive scholarships or grant money, and help support a successful future in the agriculture industry. Bayer also proudly participates in ag literacy and advocacy forums and has launched a number of Supervised Ag Experience Grants to further support youth and ag education. North American Leadership at Bayer proudly serves on the FFA Board, a continuing dedication to Bayer’s high-level involvement in one of America’s most important ag education institutions.
