ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Deltapine® is launching Committed to Cotton Communities, a new program designed to help strengthen rural communities by giving cotton growers the opportunity to nominate local nonprofit organizations for the chance to receive a charitable donation. 

The initiative reflects Deltapine's long-standing commitment to the cotton industry and recognizes the important role growers play in supporting their local communities. Through the program, eligible cotton growers can nominate a qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization they believe are making a meaningful difference in agriculture, education, youth development, community well-being, or other local causes.  

As part of the program, Deltapine plans to make charitable contributions to selected organizations across three major cotton-producing regions: the Southeast, Mid-South, and Texas/West. The initiative is intended to strengthen connections with cotton growers while creating a positive impact beyond the farm gate.

The program was developed in response to ongoing challenges facing cotton growers and rural America. While Deltapine remains focused on delivering industry-leading genetics and innovations, the company also recognizes the importance of supporting the people and communities that drive the industry's success.  

Through Committed to Cotton Communities, eligible growers with at least 250 acres of any cotton brand may nominate local nonprofit organizations for the opportunity to receive a charitable donation. Nominated organizations must be established 501(c)(3) entities in good standing for at least two years and comply with Bayer's Non-Discrimination policy and corporate giving guidelines. All submissions will be reviewed, and selected organizations will receive a charitable donation to advance projects and initiatives that benefit their local communities.  

"Supporting cotton goes beyond what happens in the field," Best added. "Strong schools, youth programs, agricultural organizations, volunteer groups, and local charities all contribute to the future of cotton-growing communities. We want growers to help identify those organizations making a difference and give them the recognition and support they deserve." 

The program aligns with Deltapine's broader commitment to advancing the cotton industry through innovation, advocacy, grower engagement, and investments that help strengthen the future of cotton 
across the United States. 

Growers can learn more about eligibility requirements, submission deadlines, and nomination details through their local Deltapine representative or program communications. The intent is to announce winning organizations on October 7, 2026, which is World Cotton Day.
