Channel® Brand Selects 40 New Community Projects To Support Through ‘Channeling Good’
ST. LOUIS, MO, February 25, 2026 – Channel® brand today announced the complete list of organizations selected through its 2025 Channeling Good campaign, publicly sharing the full slate of recipients for the first time. Through the SeedPro-led initiative, 40 community projects across 16 states received a total of $175,000 to support programs and services that strengthen rural communities.
The Channeling Good initiative began in 2021 following catastrophic derecho storms that devastated Mount Vernon and Lisbon, Iowa. Witnessing the program's transformative effect, the Channel team broadened the initiative nationwide in 2024. By leveraging the local expertise and strong community ties of Channel SeedPros, the program directs funding to the nonprofits creating real change in farming communities.
Empowering Channel SeedPros to Drive Community Impact
By enabling Channel SeedPros to champion organizations in their own communities, the Channeling Good initiative directs funding to where impact will be greatest. The 40 supported projects address a broad range of critical needs such as:
- FFA and 4-H programs, cultivating tomorrow's agricultural leaders through facility improvements and equipment upgrades.
- First responders, equipping volunteer fire departments and EMS teams with life-saving equipment and critical resources.
- County fairs and community facilities, enhancing gathering spaces where rural communities celebrate agriculture and come together.
- Community support organizations, addressing essential needs from food security and youth development to therapeutic programs and veterans' services.
2025 Channeling Good Projects: Stories From the Field
The following examples from the 2025 Channeling Good recipient list highlight how SeedPro nominations translate into meaningful, on-the-ground impact for rural communities. These stories represent just a small sample of the organizations supported through the campaign and reflect the diverse ways Channeling Good funding is being used to meet local needs.
Rebuilding a Community Fire Department — Greenfield, Iowa
Iowa Channel SeedPro Jamie Smith saw the destruction up close when an EF4 tornado tore through Greenfield, Iowa, in 2024. The storm leveled homes and businesses, including the Greenfield Fire Department, which lost its building entirely and scattered equipment throughout the town. Thanks to Smith's nomination, a $10,000 Channel donation has helped reconstruct the facility at its original location and restore essential equipment destroyed in the disaster.
“Everybody in Greenfield relies on the fire department,” said Smith. “After the storm, they kept showing up day after day, even though they were dealing with losses themselves. Helping them rebuild their station was one small way to support the people who are always there when our community needs them most.”
West Platte FFA Chapter — Weston, Missouri
Channel SeedPro Maddie Meyer nominated the West Platte FFA Chapter in Weston, Missouri, recognizing the critical need to develop future farmers as the current generation approaches retirement. The chapter equips students with hands-on agriculture experience, lifelong skills and motivation to keep their family farms running. A recent jump in membership means the $5,000 award will go toward much‑needed equipment upgrades.
"A lot of farmers around here are getting close to retirement, and many aren’t sure who will take over," said Meyer. “That’s why this FFA chapter means so much. It helps students see agriculture as their future, not just something they grew up around; and the growing number of kids joining and staying involved shows it’s working."
Rock Ranch Equine Therapy — Hills, Minnesota
Minnesota Channel SeedPro Cory Tilstra nominated Rock Ranch Equine Therapy, recognizing the organization’s vital role in the region. The $4,000 award will provide around 12 individuals with scholarships for youth riding and senior therapeutic activities — services that many families across the Minnesota–South Dakota–Iowa tri-state area rely on.
"Horses have this incredible ability to provide honest, non-judgmental feedback that can accelerate healing," Tilstra explained. "When you see the transformation in people who work with these horses, you understand why this program matters so much."
