It was back in 1897 that Friedrich Bayer Junior laid the basis for Bayer's first activities as a foundation.

Today, the two corporate foundations support pioneers worldwide: The Bayer Science & Education Foundation with focus on excellence in Life Science, medicine and science education, and the Bayer Cares Foundation with focus on social innovation for global challenges related to health and nutrition.

Both foundations share the ultimate goal of Bayer: Science For A Better Life!
