Protecting crops from damaging insects
Growers' race to protect crops from harmful insects is a marathon, not a sprint. Integrated pest management is a strategy that focuses on long-term prevention of pests and the damage they wreak through a combination of techniques such as crop scouting, crop rotation, chemical and biological control, habitat management, and use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and resistant crop varieties.
