Partnering to Advance a Sustainable Supply Chain

Bayer actively participates in various industry initiatives, including the co-founded Together for Sustainability (TfS), to address sustainable supply chain challenges and foster collaboration. These partnerships aim to establish new sustainability standards for Bayer and its peers, showcasing our commitment to responsible supply chain management.
Through these initiatives, we also share suppliers’ sustainability assessments and audit results, reducing duplicate audits and saving time and resources. This collaborative approach allows both buyers and suppliers to focus their efforts on enhancing sustainability performance across global supply chains.
In addition to audits, we prioritize supplier capability building through training and events, helping suppliers meet industry expectations and supporting Bayer’s development goals.
Together for Sustainability (TfS) is a joint initiative and global network of chemical companies that defines the global standard for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance in chemical supply chains. The TfS program is based on the UN Global Compact and Responsible Care® principles.
The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI) unites pharmaceutical and healthcare companies committed to improving social, health, safety, and environmental outcomes in the communities we operate in. By joining forces and sharing knowledge as well as expertise, PSCI members collectively drive responsible supply chain management and better business conditions across the industry.
The Sustainable Procurement Pledge (SPP) is an international bottom-up, non-profit movement of procurement professionals, academics, and practitioners promoting responsible sourcing and empowering individuals to advance sustainable procurement practices.
The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a global, CEO-led network of leading companies working together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable world. Through cross-industry collaboration and initiatives such as Vision 2050 or the Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT), WBCSD develops tools, standards, and policy engagement that help businesses turn ambition into action so that people can live well within planetary boundaries.
The Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT) is an initiative powered by the WBCSD. It establishes a global standard for calculating consistent, comparable, and credible Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs). Through this initiative, stakeholders across value chains and industries as well as standard-setting bodies, leading technology providers, reporting organizations, and regulators are brought together. In doing so, PACT drives the harmonization, integration, and exchange of PCF data across different systems and platforms.
