Head of Crop Science Communications

 

Bryan Hurley serves as the Head of Communications and Chief of Staff for Bayer's Crop Science division. A member of both the Crop Science Leadership Team and the Corporate Communications Steering Team, he brings over 25 years of strategic leadership and communication experience in the agricultural sector.

 

Bryan began his career with Bayer in 1995 as a communications intern and has since held various leadership roles in Public Affairs, Investor Relations, Global Strategy, Business Development, and Global Key Account Management. He played a key role in the successful integration of Monsanto into Bayer and was appointed Chief of Staff and Global Marketing and Business Enablement Lead in 2022. As of 2026, he also serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Communications.

 

With a proven track record of developing and implementing effective business strategies, Bryan excels in strategic analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement. His strategic vision and ability to synthesize complex issues have earned him accolades, including the "Above and Beyond Award" from Monsanto and recognition in the St. Louis Business Journal's "40 Under 40."

 

Bryan holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Brigham Young University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He lives with his wife, Kristy, and three boys, Will, Luke and Josh in St. Louis.
