Fabrice Houdebert
Fabrice Houdebert serves as the Head of Commercial Operations for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) for the Crop Science division of Bayer and is a member of the Crop Science Leadership Team. Based in Basel, Switzerland, Fabrice is dedicated to driving business growth through commercial innovation and execution, enabling Bayer to spearhead the transformation of agriculture across the EMEA region.
Fabrice began his career in 1996 with Plant Genetic Systems (AgrEvo Group) in Belgium before joining Bayer in 1998. Over the past two decades, he has held a variety of roles in Technology & Business Development, Portfolio Management, and Customer Experience. His extensive experience encompasses multiple segments, including row crop seeds, vegetable seeds, biotechnology, and biologicals, across various geographies from France, Spain, and the Netherlands to the United States, and more recently, Switzerland.
In 2018, Fabrice stepped up to lead the Regional Marketing function for Crop Science in EMEA, where he successfully steered the integration, performance, and transformation of the marketing function. He took on the role of Cluster Lead for North West Europe in 2023, and in 2025, he assumed his current position as Head of Product Supply for EMEA.
Fabrice is widely recognized as a respected leader in both people and business, known for his strategic mindset, innovative thinking, and profound expertise in agriculture.
