Inspired by his parents, who worked as farmhands managing orchards, Fafu recognized the potential in citrus farming. He established his own orchard, driven by the desire to provide a better life for his family. In Guangdong, gifting citrus during the New Year symbolizes fertility, fortune, and prosperity, making it a cherished tradition.
However, the path was anything but easy. Fafu faced numerous challenges as a novice grower, struggling with diseases that threatened his crops. Many sleepless nights were spent in the orchard, seeking solutions to protect his trees. The turning point came in 2016 when a greasy spots outbreak devastated many orchards. While others were left in the dark, Fafu found success with a Bayer product that quickly restored his trees' health.
Today, Fafu's orchard has expanded from approximately 3.3 hectares to 17.3 hectares, thanks to his commitment to quality and sustainable practices. His collaboration with Bayer has provided him with not only effective products but also invaluable technical support, helping him avoid common pitfalls. While Fafu dedicates himself to expanding his plantation, he dreams of a prosperous future for his children. They see the plantation as his realm, which he has built especially for them.
