Sport, play, and exercise are crucial for the personal development of young people. Bayer is committed to supporting youth sports and wants to encourage children and teenagers to remain active throughout their lives. Our Bayer sports clubs offer a wide range of sports that allow young people to develop their talents – from recreational to competitive sports.
young athletes have the
opportunity to concentrate
on developing their sporting
talents to their full potential.
Youth Sports: A Place of Encounter
In a time when the needs of children and young people are often not adequately met, our sports clubs offer an important meeting place for young people from different nations. Here they can take advantage of a wide range of physical activities, make new friends, and learn from professional athletes who serve as role models. Bayer sports clubs not only promote athletic skills but also impart important social skills and team spirit. They create an environment where community and cohesion are fostered and offer young people the opportunity to develop in a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Developing Talent
Bayer supports young talents who are developed at the school, youth, and junior levels, aiming for national and international excellence. Many former athletes have already won medals at the Olympic Games, Paralympics, and World Championships. The foundation for these successes is the comprehensive support of young athletes, which also considers their academic and professional development.
Optimal Training Conditions
In our "Bayer" sports clubs, young athletes will find: • High-quality infrastructure: The best conditions for training. • Qualified coaches: Expert guidance for developing athletic skills. • Interdisciplinary approaches: Holistic support for young talents.
Elite Schools of Sport
The Landrat-Lucas-Gymnasium in Leverkusen has been recognized as an "Elite School of Sport" since 2002. Through close cooperation with TSV Bayer 04, young talents receive targeted support. This talent factory is considered one of the most successful in Germany.
Combining Sport and Education
Bayer 04's Kurtekotten Youth Football Center is the highest-rated training facility of the German Football Association (DFB), boasting a 3-star plus rating. Here, young talents can combine their athletic careers with business training. We support up to 15 talented young people annually.
Awards for Talent Development
Bayer's sports clubs have received the "Green Ribbon" award over 25 times, a distinction bestowed by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) for exemplary commitment to talent development. Bayer is actively involved in fostering young talent and contributes to social development. Together, we create an environment where children and young people can realize their sporting dreams.
Since 1992 Bayer supports 15 young athletes a year.
