Monsanto statement on the decision of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals

On August 27, 2026, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed objectors' attempt to get the decision over the class settlement to a federal court. Monsanto's statement:

“The company is pleased that the Eighth Circuit has dismissed the objectors’ attempted appeal, leaving in place the federal district court’s remand ruling which returned jurisdiction over the class settlement to Missouri State Court where the vast majority of pending claims in the Roundup litigation have been filed. The Eighth Circuit joins a number of state and federal trial and appellate courts that have consistently rejected the baseless efforts by a handful of objectors to disrupt or derail the class settlement."

Monsanto remains confident that the class settlement, which is supported by plaintiffs’ counsel representing tens of thousands of potential class members, is fair to all parties, the objections have no merit, and warrants final approval following the September 14th hearing.
