Genomic cancer testing harnesses the power of precision medicine and can paint a more precise picture of a cancer diagnosis. It’s used to identify different changes in DNA known as alterations within cancer cells that determine how a tumor behaves or why it grows. This knowledge offers doctors a way to recommend more targeted treatments earlier and reduce the number of treatments patients may try.
