Statement on Cody
On March 1, 2024, a jury reached a verdict in the Cody Roundup™ product liability trial before Judge David McCormick in the Circuit Court of Conway County, Arkansas. Our statement:
“The jury’s verdict in favor of the company is the 11th win at trial in the last 17 cases where judgments were entered at trial, and validates the company’s strategy of taking cases to trial based on strong scientific and regulatory evidence. Consistent with this science, the plaintiff in this case failed to prove that Roundup™ was the cause of the injuries alleged in this case. This decision aligns with the overwhelming weight of scientific evidence and the consensus assessment of regulatory bodies and scientists worldwide that Roundup™ can be used safely and is not carcinogenic. While we have great sympathy for anyone who suffers a loss or injury, science proves that Roundup™ is not carcinogenic.
We continue to stand behind the safety of Roundup™ and will confidently defend the safety of our products and our good faith actions in any future litigation.”
