Andre traded theory for practice and came to the fields of Brazil – he has not regretted it despite all the challenges.

Andre didn't inherit his farm. He chose it. After years as an agricultural consultant, he decided to stop advising and start doing – growing soybeans, corn, oats, wheat, and raising livestock near the Brazil-Paraguay border. The most fulfilling moment? Walking his daughters through the fields and letting them bite straight into a fresh ear of corn. "That's food," he says. "And that's amazing."

But farming today means navigating real uncertainty. Climate change is reshaping seasons. Harvests are harder to predict. And Andre carries a quiet worry: that the challenges he faces daily might one day fall on his daughters' shoulders.

What keeps him moving forward is technology – and The belief that innovation can change everything for the better. Crop protection solutions, the digitalization of agriculture, and developments in biotechnology are examples that make him optimistic about the future.

"Innovation nowadays is all about biotech," Andre says. "Because when you're talking about biotech, you put all the tools inside the seed."

His farm is more than a business. It's a living proof of what science, data, and dedication can grow.
