Diany’s Pregnancy Journey

Hope, Loss, and Finding Strength Again

A simple question—“So, when will you have a baby?”—followed Diany from Jakarta from the moment she married. Her path led from medical advice and a first pregnancy that ended in loss, through grief and careful recovery, to renewed preparation and a hopeful positive test in October 2025. This is a story about resilience, the quiet power of everyday routines, and how medical guidance, lifestyle changes and supplements helped her on her journey.

When Diany married in 2022, a single question hung like a shadow over every family gathering and coffee: “So, when will you have a baby?” That question “never really stops,” she says, and with it came an avalanche of well-meaning advice — “A, B, C, D.” “Honestly, it really affected me mentally,” she admits in the video.

After trying for a while without success, she and her husband changed some habits and tried to reduce stress. Six months later, at the end of 2023, Diany discovered she was pregnant. Joy was brief. At five weeks, scans showed a chromosomal abnormality and the baby stopped developing. “Losing the baby was very hard,” she remembers.

From Grief to a Deliberate Plan

Grief was real, and recovery didn’t happen overnight. Still, Diany and her husband chose to try again. At the beginning of 2025 they took a different approach after consulting with a doctor. They focused on better sleep, regular exercise, healthier meals, and taking vitamins consistently. They rebuilt a daily routine that felt both practical and nurturing.

In October 2025 a test brought news they had hoped for: positive. The following weeks were not without anxiety. Yet she found surprising steadiness in the small rituals she had adopted. “The supplements have helped me more than I expected. They’ve made me feel calmer, and helped me stay positive throughout this pregnancy,” she says. She also expresses gratitude for the support she received: “I truly believe multivitamins are important for my journey — for my health and for my baby’s growth.”

Little Rituals, Big Impact

Her story is a collection of steady choices: a bedtime that prioritizes rest, short walks or gentle exercise, meals with more vegetables and iron rich foods, a daily vitamin. Those routines became anchors when worry rose. Like many who have faced loss, Diany allowed herself to grieve, then slowly rebuilt confidence through concrete actions.

Why supplements before, during and after pregnancy?

The modern way of life and common dietary patterns can make it difficult to get all essential nutrients from food alone. Many women are undersupplied with key vitamins and minerals even before they conceive. For example, more than half of women may be low in iron, and up to 86% can be insufficient in folate (folic acid). Causes include unbalanced diets, health conditions, and nutrient losses during transport and storage of food.

To improve the chances of conception and to support healthy fetal development, a balanced diet combined with comprehensive coverage of essential vitamins and minerals — such as folic acid, iron, selenium, zinc and others — is recommended. Nutrient needs are especially high and change during the phases of trying to conceive, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

That is why additional intake of vitamins and minerals before, during and after pregnancy is often advised. Discuss supplementation with your healthcare professional to choose the right regimen for your individual needs.
